Scott Andrews
BIOGRAPHY
Scott Andrews is a member of DLF’s litigation section with over fifteen years of experience. During his career Scott has tried cases to both judge and jury in state and federal courts across the country. Scott has successfully preserved billions of dollars on behalf of his clients.
Scott’s diverse practice focuses on property tax law and litigation, complex commercial litigation, intellectual property matters, and insurance law and bad faith litigation. Prior to joining the DLF, Scott was involved in multiple high-profile patent cases representing various medical devise, software, and telecommunication companies, including a victory on behalf of Yahoo, Inc. in a software patent infringement lawsuit where he helped obtain a non-infringement verdict from jury in Texas federal court.
Additionally, Scott has successfully defended various appraisal districts in high stakes valuation disputes related to industrial properties including nuclear power plants, mid stream oil and gas assets, and refineries. Through his years of litigating a diverse docket, Scott brings unique and critical experience to his clients whether they are an individual or a fortune 500 company.
Scott has an extensive background in genetics and biology and has written articles related to DNA. He has been a featured speaker at conferences on topics related to property tax litigation including the Annual Legal Seminar of Ad Valorem Taxation and the Texas Rural Chief Appraiser’s Conference.
